This very attractive low-growing species grows in small colonies along the coast; typically in locations where it is well-drained but where there is higher moisture. It is low-growing forming dense colonies that appear to spread from shortened rhizomes.
Leaves are very finely inrolled and with scattered short, stiff hairs.
Flowering is in spring.
